What To Bring

The documents and legal basics that need to be right on the day.

Why This Matters

A learner may feel prepared to drive but still lose the appointment because the legal basics were not in order.

Driver Documents

  • Valid learner permit.
  • Any corrective lenses you need for legal driving.
  • Confidence that your appointment centre and time are correct.

Car Documents And Discs

  • Valid insurance for the vehicle, with the learner driver insured in their own name or supported by insurer confirmation that they are covered to drive it.
  • Correct insurance disc showing the right registration and date range.
  • Any required tax or roadworthiness status that the vehicle must legally have.

Physical Setup

  • L-plates correctly displayed.
  • Number plates clean and readable.
  • Seatbelts available and working.

Your Outcome

The learner understands exactly what needs to be with them and attached to the car.
