Regulatory sign. No stopping on the carriageway during the times in force — you may not stop even briefly to set down or pick up. The single most-asked sign at the test; testers usually follow with "and what are the exceptions?" (e.g. stopping to comply with a Garda or traffic signal, or in an emergency).
